Professional Journey
I bring together two careers – one in business management and the other in helping to improve children’s lives, especially for vulnerable children and families.
I began my professional journey as a management consultant in London, advising directors and senior leaders in small and medium-sized businesses on strategy, governance, and performance. My work extended internationally, drawing on my MBA and global perspective to support organisations in building robust structures, setting effective KPIs, and achieving measurable growth.
Driven by a passion for education and social impact, I then retrained as a teacher, working directly with children and young people to nurture confidence, resilience, and a love of learning. I quickly moved into leadership, becoming Head of Year 10, Head of Year 11, and later Head of Key Stage 4. In these roles I not only supported students pastorally and academically but also introduced structural improvements, such as revising the entire prefect system to strengthen student leadership and accountability. This experience gave me deep insight into the challenges faced by families, schools, and communities, and ignited my commitment to supporting those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and vulnerable children.
Today, as an Improvement Consultant specialising in SEND and social care, I deliver DfE-funded projects. Via the South East Sector Led Improvement Programme and alongside the Local Government Association, we partner with local authorities, schools, and organisations to improve outcomes for children and families. Our work combines the analytical rigour and strategic focus of management consultancy with the empathy and practical knowledge of frontline teaching.
Alongside this, I provide executive coaching for leaders across all industries, helping them unlock their potential, navigate complexity, and strengthen their teams. I hold a Level 5 Executive Coaching Diploma (ILM) and a Level 7 Certificate in Coaching Supervision, enabling me to support both organisational leaders and fellow coaches in their professional growth.
My leadership in governance, board reporting, and organisational improvement ensures that strategy translates into impact. By blending business excellence with a commitment to social value, I help leaders, organisations, and communities achieve sustainable progress.
I’m an Improvement Consultant and Executive Coach, working with leaders, organisations, and local authorities to drive sustainable change. My work brings together over 20 years’ experience in both business consultancy and education, specialising in SEND and social care transformation. I help leaders at all levels unlock their potential, build resilient teams, and deliver better outcomes – for their organisations and, most importantly, for the people they serve. Whether supporting a CEO in strategy, a headteacher in navigating change, or a local authority in delivering DfE-funded improvement, my approach combines business rigour with a deep commitment to improving lives.
